Having a son deployed in Iraq and then Kuwait, I realized our soldiers have alot of down time and are mostly restricted to base. As an avid reader myself, I know how a good book can not only entertain but also relax and calm an individual. I am sending books to soldiers in an effort to make their tour of duty somewhat more bearable.
This is a single initiative started by a few people that want to help. We are not involved with the government in any way and do not belong to any charity or religious organization.
We also sell books at several online venues and that helps to pay for some of the expenses such as purchasing additional books for soldiers and shipping costs.

If you are a soldier or know of a soldier that is deployed overseas and would like a good book to read, please contact www.SoldiersLibrary.com and we will make every effort to get that book to that soldier. We might not always have a specific title, but we will search to find it, and many times we will have additional books by the same author.
Most books available are slightly used softcovers, that are easy to fit in backpacks and less expensive to ship.
